The New York Times put together several lesson ideas for using Star Wars to teach a variety of subjects, “from analyzing Yoda’s syntax to investigating the economic consequences of destroying the Death Star.” Find lessons for ELA, History, Science, Math, Economics, Art, and Journalism.
My Hour Of Code post featured a Star Wars lesson from the folks at Code.org. Their lesson contains everything you need to let students — ages 6 and up — create program droids and create their own Star Wars game.

I’m a fan of Sphero’s rolling robots, as featured in one of my gadgets posts. It’s an engaging way to teach coding through drag and drop programming with apps like Tickle or Tynker.
