Dec 21, 2014 After he married he pursued his dream of fishing and obtained his Charter Boat Captains License, running trips on the ODD COUPLE. He took many charters for his specialty, cod fish, out of Green Harbor Marina. In 1986 he purchased his cherished BIG MAC, a 35ft. Down-easter and started BIG MAC FISHING ENT, adding commercial fishing to his forte. The Big Mac is a good stable lightweight canoe, 13′ 2″ long with a 2′ 6.5″ beam. You can set it up with two conventional seats, or with one set low, as in the Wee Lassie. The Big Mac is asymmetrical, as Mac preferred the stern section of the canoe to be fuller than the bow. This can really make a difference in shallow water.
